WMD / Terrorism Commission Gets “D-“ Grade!

The recently release “Prevention of WMD Proliferation and Terrorism Report Card” by the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism offered its report card on our national security preparedness—we flunked. One of the primary reasons was due to our Congress:

The refusal of Congress, as the nation’s elected representatives, to pull congressional authority together into one coherent oversight body is both self-serving and conspicuous, suggesting that individual concerns for “turf” supersede the legislature’s willingness to assume responsibility to ensure national security.

This report did not cover operational aspects (albeit a more classified report probably does). What is absent is mention of the unlawful immigration security threat to the nation, which is giving our enemy unprecedented access to not only US soil, but to areas of vulnerability through a well established black market industry.

The report covered aspects of Al Qaeda’s growing expertise and operational readiness, which suggest that this deadly group is currently maximizing the holes found in our current national security net, such as open borders, using fake IDs to gain access to classified facilities and employers that handle sensitive materials, and the list goes on.

Of key importance in this report is the projection by 2013, just 3 years away, of reaching a probability that a mass attack is likely to occur. What is not reported to the public is the fact that Al Qaeda has complete and unobstructed access to the United States and facilities and that such operatives have or will likely use these access points to affect harms on millions of Americans—no mention of these vulnerabilities was given or recommendations to abate them.

Such critical fact omissions are clearly politically motivated, for which I severely chastised the commission on behalf of all Americans—they may be chastising government, but they need to first look at their own work. They did not do a good job of informing us of all the threats to us and the nation and how most could be thwarted by simply restricting and policing immigration—so for that, I give the commission itself a “D” grade.

On the day a WMD strikes America, God save the politicians and heads of agencies who still refuse to lock down our borders and police our interiors for foreigners here unlawfully and remove them—I wouldn’t give you two cents for their chances once the public pitch forks come out–and in my opinion, they will deserve every bit of evilness this nation of citizens (with their arms filled with dead children) show these people for not doing their jobs ahead of time to protect us!
