Fort Hood Proves Gun Control Kills Citizens

Posted on | November 16, 2009 | No Comments

One of the most amazing yet equally predicable things in the US is that every time there is a serial killing by a gunman, radical Marxist, aka progressives, leap on the opportunity to press their gun control agenda against US citizens and their Constitutional Right to bear arms—a right for both self defense and defense against tyranny aka defense of the free state.

Progressives claim both the Constitution and Bill of Rights are obsolete and outmoded. Of course, for the average citizen to buy into this poppycock, they must forgo learning about early US history and why the Second Amendment was created. And ironically, with most school systems now controlled by progressives across the US, school children are not being taught early American history—how convenient—and diabolical is that!

It goes without saying that all governments want absolute control over their citizenry. America was meant to be different from that, according to our Founders. Yet today, the goal of police and other government institutions is to establish ironhanded control over citizens at all costs, squeezing government’s grip on society until it can no longer function out of fear of making one wrong move. This was, in great part, what failed the Soviet Union’s communist agenda, and, indeed, has eventually toppled all such overly restrictive governments. For as restraints tighten, the more freedom wiggles out free of its grip and fights back with violent force.

Today, across the Middle East, we see terrorism for ideology’s sake, but as more controlled and restrictive government usurps its control on individuals and society, we can expect terrorism to become homegrown and a mainstay in those countries as people fight back to restore their freedoms. We will mistakenly label such freedom fighters as terrorists until such a day comes when the word will be used proudly rather than as a stigma in society—for to be a terrorist under such oppressive government will likely come full circle to become considered a high and respected profession by the majority class that are secretly rooting for their victory and the eventual restoration of free government away from the yoke of tyranny. If we think ahead, we might see this coming.

Today, tyranny is gaining its foothold under the progressive movement, a movement started in the 1920s by radicalized Marxists and forwarded this very day in the halls of Congress and the White House. One of its top goals is the abolition of guns from US society, which will make it easier to control the populace—or so they think. We know the true issue is not safety for citizens and here’s why…

First, each year in the US, over 40,000 men, women, and children are brutally slain in car wrecks by automobiles. Yes, there is no public outcry to ban automobile products from our society. And while there are twice as many guns as cars that are privately and publicly owned in America, guns both in accidents, suicides, and murders combined are responsible for about 50% of such deaths and injuries as compared to automobiles.

And the dirty little secret the progressives never reveal is that an estimated 1 million lives are saved each year by guns used in self defense—a statistic and claim that does not exist for automobiles. Logic would then dictate that the most deadly consumer product in society, automobiles, should then be banned from society, while guns, in contrast, should be prized for their over-all ability to provide for the public good—that is, their ability to save many more lives than they harm.

Progressives, which run most universities, major media, and key positions in government now, do not want US citizens aware of the facts but merely of their one-sided demonization of guns toward fulfilling an 80+ year old agenda of de-arming America and Americans. This is how the Soviets did it and this is how they intend to rule America.

In Mexico, private citizens are nearly prohibited from owning guns. Yet, Mexico has one of the highest gun death rates in the world due to cheap and illegal guns that are mostly imported from China, with only a small percentage of guns coming from US manufacturers—a fact rarely reported in the mainstream news.

At Fort Hood, some of the strongest gun controls ever created are installed on that military base. No unauthorized guns are allowed on base and no person on that city size base (society) can carry a weapon except police. In fact, it was this stringent gun control regiment that indirectly lead to the deaths of 13 and 29 injured during the recent radical Muslim terrorist attack there. Why? Simply because most of the men and women killed, had they been trained and required to carry sidearms, would have had the ability to fight back—likely less than a handful of personnel would have been wounded on that fateful day had smarter gun training and rules been in place.

Fort Hood also teaches us that even if armed police are everywhere in society, they cannot protect us individually—that jobs falls to each of us as persons, whether we want to face the facts or not. Criminals do not care about laws and police cannot be everywhere all the time–in fact, police are rarely where they need to be when crime hits and are more of an after-party clean-up crew than crime stoppers!

The reality is, if we as society want to improve citizen safety, we should focus on training and safety enhancement, not banning products that offer us greater benefit than detriment. For who can argue the deadly automobile product should be banned given all its benefits to society? Equally, who can argue that guns, which save nearly a million more lives per year than they take while also preserving our Constitutional Rights and freedom at the same time, should be removed because radical communists aka progressives want stronger tyrannical controls?

Instead, we should encourage gun safety, training, and marksmanship, as well as provide gun owners with key psychological tools training that helps them place their weapons out of reach during times when their personal lives become tumultuous—teach them to recognize their own patterns of instability so that they can easily and voluntarily lock their weapons away for a time, on occasion, when they feel a personal need. We have seen people time and again go on rampages with their automobiles, and on airlines, and even with guns, but none of the products are to blame—the blame is with us and our lack of focus on better training and safety that recognizes the realities and facts rather than sensationalizes them toward issuing tyrannical controls.

Fort Hood and countries like Mexico prove to us that criminals will get their hands on guns and do evil regardless of gun bans or laws. It took armed personnel to take down the Fort Hood terrorist, but had the average personnel there been armed and instead of unarmed, we might argue successfully that the event may have never occurred—for it has been proven time and again that criminals and terrorists abhor prey that can fight back!

And for the record, there is no such thing as gun rights advocates–there are merely those who either support the Constititution and Bill of Rights, or those who oppose it. Gun ownership is an individual Right guaranteed under the Constitution–eliminate that right, and you eliminate the Constitution, according to our Founders. Do not become a progressive but instead learn American and world history and use it to help improve America, not progress it toward radicalized communisim–please be smarter than that–think for yourself!

My Mother’s Gun Story
All her life, my mother hated guns and did not want them anywhere in her home but my father insisted on carrying one in his motorhome for self protection. Then, one day, out on a deserted Mid-Western highway, a drunken group of truckers wanted to have fun and run my father off the road, which would have killed our entire family likely. After the second attempt, my mother was the first to shout, “get that shotgun out and aim out the window”! Amazingly, the truckers saw that gun and hit the brakes and let our vehicle escape. My mother made sure we had a gun while traveling from that day forward and made my father show her how to use it (but she did insist it be kept out of sight). Nobody was going to mess with mom’s kids–nobody!
