Public Option = Bankrupt America

Here is the problem, the Dem Party and President Obama know that unless they pass a healthcare bill, they are doomed election-wise. Therefore, for all the worst reasons, this group is pushing America’s worse bill ever conceived.
The healthcare bill takes the very worst of the Dem proposals, and the very worst of the Republican proposals (what few have been accepted), and puts them together in a 1900+ page bill that has so many landmines it should be in Afganistan!
Let’s discuss just a couple of the biggest outrages. First, Medicare is to take big spending cuts of about $500 billion over the next decade. The reason for this cut, we are told, is to make the bill deficit nuetral. However, if we look at the history of Congress, the cuts will be scaled back or reduced or even eliminated. This means that the reality is the healthcare bill will in realty be $500 billion more expensive. That will have to be applied to the deficit.
Now assume the Medicare cuts will take place. That means millions of seniors are going to be denied healthcare services. In either direction, we have a nightmare created by government and for what reason?
The second thing we must examine is the fact that the current $900 billion healthcare cost projection (now adjusted to about $1.1 trillion) is considered realistically inaccurate, given the federal government’s track record on bill proposal costs–usually offering projections from 6 to 12 times under value of actual costs for over the last three decades. This means healthcare reform will likely cost us not the $100 billion per year the Dems are touting, but in reality about $1 trillion a year–every penny of which must be added to the national debt.
Cleverly, the Dem ruse is to trick Americans by edging in the new and radical healthcare system into place in about 4 years, just after the presidential elections–so when things go dramatically turmulteous the president will have already been re-elected (Dems hope) and the Dem Party will still have 4 more years to cast out more radical damages onto the American people. Healthcare reform is now about self-serving poltical ass saving and strategy, not about concern for America or Americans–a very sad day of soul selling by our prostitues on Capitol Hill.
Let’s recap… we have a healthcare bill that is not designed to be good for citizens but was designed by backdoor dealing, secret lobbying, and is a hodgepodge trainwreck because the Dem Party must pass something, anything, if Obama and the Dems are to survive their next elections. This does not take into account the fact the Dems flatly refuse to include Republican solutions toward consensus building even though Republicans feel strongly about fixing the healthcare system as well. Basically, we have a Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid manadate that says reform at all costs–damn the American people and America itself!
To get some perspective, let’s flash forward 10 years, after bill enactment.
At the start when healthcare reform kicks in officially in 5 years, we will have either millions of premature dead seniors who had to be denied Medicare due to cost cuts, or we will have an additional $.5 trillion per year in costs to be added to our national debt. And, we will have to pay for the true cost adjustments (government miscalculation error impacts) of about $1 trillion for a new adjusted yearly total deficit of $1.5 trillion–just to cover our new healthcare reforms.
The current national debt is $11.9 trillion. The 10 year adjusted debt would then be a more realistic $7.5 trillion (for 5 years of new deficits) for healthcare reforms, to give us a grand total of $19.4 trillion national debt (all things the same).
This level of debt would be 139% of our gross national product (GDP).
Why is that important to all Americans? Because most countries collapse economically when the debt to GDP ratio is merely 60%. We will have made world history if we can add that much debt and still survive as a nation–a feat most-all experts see as impossible.
If you want your country to survive for your children, then go after healthcare reform and polticians like your child’s life depends on it, because in all likelihood, it probably does. Get involved, know and demand the facts, and block all bill propals you have not personally read and generally agree with—demand bills be written clearly. We are playing with the very life of America and if you want the patient to live, you better do your part.
