Regardless of what happens to the nation and the arena of politics between now and the next presidential election, voters will never forget or forgive President Obama for forcing a very bad and costly healthcare bill on them and their children, as well as his first year’s worth of incompetency, arrogance, and anti-capitalism policies spurred by over one hundred socialist key advisors to his office. Without doubt, he is a one term president, save election fraud and fixing. So then who will Americans put into the Oval office in 2012?

The list of possibles is not yet made in full but certainly a minority percentage of Republicans would like to see Sara Palin run even though she would hand the election back to the Dems—never able to carry enough votes from all three voting blocks: Independents, Repubs, and Dems. The same goes for Mitt Romney, John McCain, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, David Patreas, Rudy Giuliani, Bobby Jindal, Jeb Bush, Charlie Christ, and Lindsey Graham.

Some would not even come close to being liked by most groups, such as Jeb Bush, whose brother and father have already stigmatized the Bush Dynasty and turned off more Americans than they will ever gather up (again, save a fixed election, of course). On the list of the mostly unliked is essentially everyone listed above with the exception of those noted otherwise and Patreas, Jindal, and Christ. This short list is not well known and once known, will likely not ring any bells with voters for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is track record on the things that count.

On the possible Republican list there remain only two major players who could gather up enough votes from all major voting groups with a virtual landslide: Ron Paul, and Donald Trump. Let’s examine these two a little more.

Ron Paul, according to Google Trends, was on a course to beat out then candidate Obama until the liberal media turned its cameras away from his meteoric rise and focused on a candidate that was trending downward—Obama. Soon after the media attention shift, Obama and Paul reversed positions and Paul was relegated to news media obscurity. In spite of it, the Paul group still managed incredible fund raising and popularity with his base, which has actually expanded since Obama took office and spiraled his administration into anti-Constitutional, anti-sound and financially irresponsible government approaches.

Recent polls indicate Ron Paul would be the hands down winner if the election were held today. However, such polls omit one other candidate that could potentially eclipse Paul—Donald Trump.

Trump has a couple of things going for him that almost no other major candidate has. First, he is tough as nails yet very well liked and highly charismatic. He appeals to voters in all major groups for varied reasons. Two, he knows how to make wealth and run profitable entities effectively—America is an entity.

Trump is a wealth creator, few would argue otherwise. Wealth is what made America great for over half its lifetime. Business savvy and business friendliness is what helped make America wealthy, hence gave it the rare ability to help not only its own citizens, but billions around the world—a responsibly it has enjoyed but is now quickly losing as the nation’s overall wealth declines in rapid success while its debt escalates.

Trump is smart. Americans trust him. If he tells the nation they need to tighten their belts and cut 15 percent across the board in government programs and spending (permanently), voters will bitch but they will go along with him and love him for it—especially if he gets the economy humming like a Lamborghini on the Autobahn and starts the nation paying down the debt at the same time. And he could and would.

Trump is also a world class negotiator. He never lets down his guard so if Iran or Korea or China or Europe want to push America around, he’ll push back triple hard and assert US dominance and its unilateral sovereignty. He does not need permission to make America safe and prosperous—he’ll demand it.

On the other hand, Paul is a Constitutionalist. He understands, perhaps better than any other person on Capitol Hill, what the Founding Fathers intended for America and what it will take to put the nation back on course toward restoration of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. He is an absolute true patriot and conservative in all the best ways.

The difference between Paul and Trump is huge. One is outward looking and would take the world by storm. The other is inward looking and would work hard to restore the nation’s internal health. Ironically, both approaches are needed but only one candidate can win… or is there another choice?

The ultimate Dream Team to restore America to its full health, or at least well on the way toward it, would be Trump at the head of the ticket and Paul taking second position with one proviso and mandate made by Trump. Trump would need to give Paul carte blanch to work on returning the federal government to Constitutional compliance while Trump busies himself with all the other ailments of the nation. Giving Paul such a mandate publicly and through campaign promises would ensure a Trump/Paul victory with well over a 20 percent margin over the Dem ticket. It’s purely an unbeatable ticket but there are only two small problems: will Trump run and would he accept Paul as a running mate; and would Paul accept the second seat with the proviso of a Constitutional compliance mandate?

What is clear is that we need both of these gentlemen to come to the aid of their nation because by the time Obama leaves office, the nation will be in much greater turmoil than it is now, such is the man’s incompetency level—or his corrosive socialist policies—take your choice.
