It’s a growing force that is starting to shape the nation in ways never considered by government and party leaders. It’s unwieldy, underfunded, diverse, multi-partisan, young and old, blue and white collared, wealthy and poor or somewhere in between. And it’s coming to a city near you, if it hasn’t already been there yet. As you guessed, it’s the Tea Party Movement and its one over-bridging theme is strong conservatism—not conservatism of yesteryear riddled with religious overtones and highly controversial approaches to politics but one more reflective of the modern era—Modern Tea Party Conservatism.

These people are voters and they’re mad as hell at their elitist, overbearing, police state government that loves to spend their future into oblivion and ensure the next generation lives a remarkably lower standard of living than today’s American. They embrace the Constitution like no other generation, and want it restored and protected; the many laws standing against it taken down and a newer, smaller, more sensible version of government as envisioned by the Founders installed for the benefit of liberty and their grandchildren—in honor of their fallen family members who sacrificed so much to preserve the land of exception—America—freedom—the country that has done more good in the world than all others combined (albeit with plenty of mistakes and ugliness as well—enough equal to its peers certainly but far more good than bad). They seek to stand up for the Shinning City on the Hill and keep it from sliding off into the abyss of runaway progressivism, aka communist socialism for the new age where anything but progress is sought. They seek representative government, not government by and for We The Special Interest Corporations Of The World. They seek to protect what so many sacrificed to build—today by marching protests, tomorrow by sword, if need be.

To stand in this crowd you must have two things: concern for your country’s future, and passion to carry the torch of patriotism—a will to carry on the fight to dawn’s early light. They do, and more join them each day.

And they also have another thing in common—or least they should have. Independence!

This is not a group of people chanting support for a single party. Not by a long shot. This is a group more akin to a surgeon in an emergency ward. His patient is America and she sees her as bleeding profusely from wounds inflicted by both major parties—the Bush Republicans did their vampiring, now the Obama Dems their sanguine guzzling—Her Majesty seems doomed so they work intelligently now—not like before. They vote strategically, not picking candidates for their values—although those are key to getting chosen, but instead playing the game on the political landscape chessboard.

We saw it in Massachusetts, whereby Senator Ted Kennedy’s old seat was filled contemptuously by Republican Scott Brown casting off the decades long shackles of Democrat control in that state–voters sending a message to Washington that the people still count and were closing down an unwanted healthcare bill scam riddled with corrupt deal-making and higher taxes and national debt; but an resentful Dem Party said to hell with them and pursued their elitist agenda to ensure 1/6th the economy succumbs to the federal government’s control; to eliminate personal choice—damn the people—they know nothing of socialism, spouted Pelosi, Reid, and Obama behind closed doors. Damn their protest vote and their Scott Brown message because we, like so many tyrants before us, rule with an iron hand and we do whatever we must to enforce our will on the people.

Such is the voice of tyranny gone out of control.

Today, the Tea Partiers want to stop the bleeding of their patient. They see Her Majesty too quickly approaching collapse in so many ways they can not count them; from overspending and debt escalation to national security dilution, the list grows longer each day. They speak to one another and they do something rarely seen in the last four decades of politics. They actually think deeply and strategically before voting.

To save their patient, they rushed into action with protests. The unspoken goal now, many say, is to take away Dem control and abuse of power in the Senate and House and force the president to come to the table in true bipartisanship. They’re done with the unilateral party of mock and their ram-it-down-their throats, sugarcoating add-ons that are the equivalent of putting lipstick on a pig on an issue as personally sensitive and nationally important as healthcare. So the Tea Partiers impatiently await the next election to kick out the Dems, their immediate strategic goal. Yet they are not interested in reinstalling the Repubs to power either, many say, just look where that got them last time, they exclaim.

Yet for now, the chessboard needs a power shift so voters will use Repubs like the dirty corporate prostitues they’ve become–vote them in, give them temporary power, then look for ways to get rid of them too, once their patient quits bleeding—a corporate whore deserves to be treated like the trash it is, they proclaim.

This is a coldly calculating, well informed group acting individually, yet with an unspoken consensus on what must be done to save America now. They get it!

Today, they struggle calculating how to manipulate the balance of power at the top and how best to keep it under control. This year, the Repubs will get the call to take over the House and Senate, but not a mandate for anything–do not touch anything Congress, they will say–leave it alone–and keep that ignorant Opie in the White House from doing anymore harm–that’s you’re only mandate, so get used to it you “evil bastards”! For this is but a temporary tourniquet needed to keep Mother America alive until another solution can be found—a more independent one as soon as time permits.

While the Tea Partiers consider ways to keep the deleterious two party yo-yo of power from usurping authority across all three branches of government, they are looking for new candidates–independent ones. They are looking for people with conservative, Constitutional supporting values, common sense, wisdom, integrity, and who see things the way they do. (1) They are done with the same old deceitful bunch in both major parties who have been on the same proverbial coin. Now they look for the RIGHT TYPE OF CHANGE and past the popularity of beguiling speech-makers but instead deep into their personal records–especially on keeping their word. They did not want to change America to a socialist country—they were duped once before–but no more–they chant.

So the Tea Partiers plot and think and reawaken to the ancient voices of the Founding Fathers who had warned them about the eventuality of power-grabbing elites if Her Majesty was left unattended by the public watchdogs for too long. They realize they and their fathers and mothers before them had trusted government leaders too long and too much, and had let their guards down. They see that they let government walk away with their Constitution and now they want it back!

The Tea Partiers are a quiet bunch, relatively speaking, they act orderly, they respect one another, they help one another, they fight government—the evil empire. And yet they still move forward rudderless and confused, in temptation of disassembling from disorganization and lack of unity, if not purpose and voice. Meanwhile, they continue to do the one important thing—perhaps the single most important of all—they move—they march—they become visible to media and government and make them keenly aware of their demands—something vitally important that cannot be done from a couch, computer, phone or fax machine. These are true patriots, unafraid to show they care Her Majesty, unafraid to march against tyranny—words no longer hollow, but based in research and substantive thought and concern—a renegade voting union mad as hell and ready for battle.

As if on queue, the Republicans moved in, trying to usurp the movement for their own gain, as if they were the representatives of conservatives—as if they had not started the domino falling long ago when they shifted from a platform of conservatism to progressivism and liberal spending–the big growers of government who just recently mirrored Dems in every way–now repenting in campaign word as a ruse to steal votes–members of failed party that has forsaken conservatism and now only pays it lip service.

Repubs make the mistake in thinking the Tea Partiers are conservatives in the sense of their old fashioned platform based largely on religious beliefs. They do not see the reality that the Tea Partiers do not march to support abortion or anti-abortion. They do not march to support church in government or government in church. They do not fight over the minutia of stem cell research and its religious overtones. Those things matter to them, but they are like bumps and bruises on their patient, not deadly bleeding but items that can safely be ignored while the greater issues are fought–damn it idiots–don’t you get it–America is falling and you’re responsible–wake up, they chant!

What the Tea Party Conservatives want is sound government that applies reason and common sense for the common good of the nation. They want leaders beholding of, and responsible to, the Constitution; a government smartly managed, financially sound, and debt responsible that does not burden their children or threaten to take down America. They want their children and grandchildren to inherent a higher standard of living, not a lower one that is progressed by free trade, which encourages American jobs to compete with Third World labor wages and hence lowers our standard of living; they want fair trade; they want protective Tariffs so America’s middle class can become strong again by trading mostly with fellow Americans instead of sending their wealth offshore to country enemies like China. They want a sound democratic Republic and smaller government that lives not only within its means, but saves money and pays down its debts and obligations–reinfuses its trust funds such as Socials Security and Medicare. They want a government that stays out of their lives as much as possible.

And yes, they want healthcare reform, insurance companies and providers reined in, but not government take over of the system—are you insane—when has government ran anything efficiently, they chant! That’s why we need less government, not more, they scream! Start incrementally, see what works, but stay on the problem every year for a decade of need be and fix healthcare using American, not socialist principals they decree.

Most Tea Partiers can never be subjugated by Republicans, unless that party truly returns to its strong conservative roots—the roots of the deep past stemming from the Founder’s era. This group will not tolerate Soviet style socialism pressed on them by progressive (aka communist) Dems and an oppressive tyranny operated by unrepresentative elites who think government, not people, know what’s best for US citizens.

In short, this wide swatch of Americana, these voters of the rainbow in color and ideology, have a uniquely ancient conservative view and to win them over, today’s politicians will have to say what they mean, mean what they say, and do what they mean and say. Or very soon, this group will shift from being respectful and peaceful to demanding and violent—for one way or the other, the tyranny will surly fall—if they have anything to say about it—and they damn well do!

The Tea Partiers represent the single greatest block of true patriots ever gathered for a gravely serious purpose since the American Revolution. They are not represented by Repubs or Dems or the fringe, but they are, instead, ready to give their all in protection of their country from the enemy within. They are a movement to the center—a movement to help each other and the country survive as a team—a remarkable modern day mobilizing of patriot action and the beginnings of the Second American Revolution. The Tea Partiers are fighting for liberty and against their own corrupt and tyrannical government that now mirrors the Court of King George–the English tyrant now resurfaced as today’s federal government, one in the same in all practical matters–a force to be taken down and replaced once again with Constitutionally, and sound and representative government.

This group fights in civilized protest today, and if need be, violent bloodshed tomorrow—for it is the American way in a land where the fighting spirit has been honed to a razor’s edge, even if we have temporarily forgotten our warrior spirit in decades of complacency. This ragtag group of millions is rising up for one purpose—to save the greatest country on Earth for us all and for our children, and for the world. They are not yet feared, but they soon will be.

If you are in government and politics, you may miscalculate these simple realities at your own peril or learn from them and embrace the will of the people and the Founders. Pitchforks or votes, one day soon you will have to decide which you prefer so watch out–the American Patriots are coming!

(1)Tea Party Voter Tools
Citizen America Foundation For Constitutional Government provides a simple to use, one page, legally binding contract that House and Senate candidates (or incumbants) should be asked to sign before recieving public trust or votes. Special Interests groups such as the banking and other corporate lobbies stand hard against this contract being used because it threatens their stranglehold on Congress (because it might help restore representative government).
